Applying to be assessed << back to FAQs
1. How do we apply to be assessed?

Applying to be assessed is easy.  Just contact us and we can either send you a copy of our application form to be completed or talk you through it over the telephone.  IN the near future we are hoping to launch an electronic application form.
2. Can my organisation be assessed in my own language?

We operate worldwide and endeavour to provide assessors that can communicate in the language required by the client. Where this is not possible interviews are conducted with the assistance of interpreters.

3. Will the Assessor understand my organisation?

Assessors are chosen by us for their broad business background, their competence and their experience of working internationally within a variety of organisations and cultures. We will choose and assessorto match your organisation.  It will be useful though for you to provide the assessor with specific information about your company when they are in contact with you.  Treat them as if they are a new employee that way you'll be demonstrating how you do treat new employees and give them more information about you.

Be realistic though!  If you have a 3 day induction programme it would be unrealistic to expect the assessor to go thorugh all of it, so be selective.
4. What evidence do I need to provide?

Evidence is gathered by the assessor from a number of sources but is primarily interview (verbal) and observationally based. The Standard does not require you to produce additional paperwork, as it is an outcome based Standard, and the assessor will be looking for evidence that you are achieving the results and benefits that the indicators require.

5. When should I come forward for assessment?

An organisation can request an assessment be carried out at any time once it has decided to work towards the Standard. Coming forward for an early assessment gives the organisation an opportunity to identify formally what work needs to be done to meet the Standard and can be an excellent way to focus resource on the areas of improvement needed.
